macOS · Screen capture
Turn any Mac window into a live Syphon source.
v1.0.8 · macOS 13.0+ · Apple Silicon & Intel
What it does
One window, not the desktop
Pick a single window, a whole application, or a full display. Notifications and the dock stay out of your programme feed.
GPU all the way
Capture stays on the GPU and is published as a Syphon server without a round trip through system memory. Low latency, low CPU, no fans spinning up mid-show.
Shows up where you need it
Appears as a normal Syphon source in Resolume, MadMapper, VDMX, TouchDesigner and OBS. No virtual camera driver to install.
Why not just capture the screen
Because the screen has your email on it. Full-display capture sends every alert, every misplaced Finder window and every accidental Spotlight to the wall. Window capture sends the browser tab with the lyrics to the wall, and nothing else.
Questions
Is there a free trial?
Seven days, unrestricted, no card. A watermark appears when it ends; nothing stops working.
Does it capture protected content?
No. Applications that mark their windows as protected — DRM video, some conferencing tools — stay black. That is macOS enforcing it, not us.
What about audio?
SpectraBridge is video only — Syphon carries no audio. Route audio separately; SpectraRoute is the tool for that.
