SpectraMap

SM

Pixel-accurate screen mapping for macOS.

v1.0.6 · macOS 13.0+ · Apple Silicon & Intel

What it does

Canvas-based mapping

Build a canvas that matches your wall pixel for pixel, then place sources onto it. Crop, scale and position numerically instead of dragging by eye.

NDI and Syphon out

Broadcast each mapped canvas over NDI to anything on the network, or share it as a Syphon server to Resolume, VDMX or TouchDesigner on the same Mac.

DeckLink SDI

Route canvases straight to Blackmagic DeckLink and UltraStudio hardware when the rig wants SDI rather than network video.

Built for the wall you actually have

Most mapping tools assume a projector and a flat surface. SpectraMap assumes an LED wall that arrived in panels, got split across two processors, and needs a different region of the canvas going to each one. You define the walls, split them, and route each segment to its own output.

It handles resolutions past 8K wide, because touring walls routinely are.

Questions

Is there a free trial?

Seven days, unrestricted, no card. When it ends a watermark appears over the output — nothing stops working and no project is lost. Enter a licence and the watermark goes.

How is this different from MadMapper?

MadMapper is a broader tool with warping, masking and fixture control. SpectraMap does pixel-accurate rectangular mapping and multi-output routing, natively and cheaply. If you need mesh warping onto a sculpture, use MadMapper. If you need a 9600-pixel-wide wall split across three processors, this is more direct.

How many Macs can one licence activate?

Three. Deactivate from inside the app to free a slot, or use My licences if the machine is gone.
